THE EFFECTS OF THE AMBASSADORS’ STATEMENTS TO KENYANS IN THE DIASPORA:

Why would the Kenyan Ambassador to USA, associate the Kenyans in the Diaspora who have lived peacefully outside their homeland for many years, with the problems and the chaos which have been witnessed in Kenya since 1992? http://www.standardmedia.co.ke/InsidePage.php?id=2000055751&cid=4 . It is really difficult to understand why anyone, regardless of position or status, would be do anything to antagonize the lives of Kenyans living abroad and jeopardize the future of the Kenyan Nation. How on earth would any individual Kenyan in the Diaspora fail to understand the effects of such a statement and the dangers of associating the Kenyans in the Diaspora with the 2008 post election violence or any other problems facing Kenya today?.

Every Kenyan in the Diaspora knows very clearly the problems facing the Somali people in the Diaspora. They cannot send any money to their sick and hungry relatives in Somalia. They cannot invest in their home country Somalia, because the US does not allow them to send money freely to their country. The US authorities believe that when the Somalis send money to Somalia, they are sending it to the different clans and the war lords who are fighting there.

Here comes the Kenyan Ambassador to USA, His Excellency Elkanah Odembo, saying that he and his team will soon board buses and travel all over USA and Canada to collect signatures from Kenyans, for the purposes of trying to keep peace here in USA and in Kenya. Thanks to our foresighted patriotic Kenyan brothers who wrote a letter to His Excellency, the Kenyan Ambassador to USA, expressing their concerns on the dangers posed by those allegations. What will prevent the US authorities from exercising the same measures to the Kenyans in the Diaspora, as it has already been done to the Somalis?. Kenyans in the Diaspora may soon start encountering difficulties and major problems when sending money to Kenya as a result of this statement.

The Kenyans in the Diaspora are known to be a hard working community doing two to three jobs. They are known to be a peaceful community living in harmony here in America and in other Nations in the World, all along. Why lie about them? The Ambassador is fully aware of the ICC involvement with the handling of the cases related to the 2008 post election violence. Why doesn’t he forward the names of those he knows were involved with the troubles here and in Kenya, to both the US authorities, the Kenyan authorities and to the ICC, instead of creating trouble for so many innocent Kenyans living abroad?

I am sure the US Government, through the US Ambassador to Kenya is aware of the Ambassadors statement. This is a very serious matter and Kenyans should not make any jokes about it. This is an issue that should be handled with the seriousness it deserves. The alleged involvement of the Kenyans in the Diaspora in the chaos and/or problems in Kenya, is a lie. Kenyans in the Diaspora are not required to sign any peace agreement as planned by His Excellency Ambassador Elkanah Odembo, because they have never been engaged in any fight or chaos whatsoever, here or in Kenya. There is therefore no need of buses going round USA and Canada to collect signatures in the name of keeping peace. The US security forces are capable of maintaining peace in America. The statement associating Kenyans in the Diaspora with the problems and chaos in Kenya, and an earlier statement in which the Ambassador recommended for a special program for all Kenyans leaving Kenya for the US and to other Nations before they are approved and allowed to fly out of the country, http://www.standardmedia.co.ke/archives/politics/InsidePage.php?id=2000038770&cid=4 leaves a lot to be desired, and all these, points to a possibility of a hidden agenda.

Nevertheless, we will not sit back and watch the lives of our people antagonized and jeopardized. We will continue to voice the concerns of our people no matter what threats comes our way. We will be called names, we will be insulted and we will be threatened, but I promise all Kenyans that we will never compromise our conscience. I stand by all what I wrote in my previous articles because it is the truth and the pure truth. No threats will scare me from voicing the concerns of the masses, and I will continue to condemn whatever is wrong and whatever would hurt our people.

COULD THE NEW REVELATION AT THE KENYA EMBASSY IN WASHINGTON DC, MEAN ANOTHER WHITE ELEPHANT?

New revelation of questionable deals has emerged at the Kenyan Embassy in Washington DC. After the release of the resent article “ No war in the Diaspora” http://www.mwakilishi.com/content/blogs/2012/04/23/no-war-in-the-diaspora.html and the subsequent reply from a Lady called Ms Regina Njogu, ttp://www.mwakilishi.com/content/blogs/2012/04/27/divisive-rhetoric-hurting-cause-for-positive-kenyan-diaspora-agenda.html

disturbing, annoying and disappointing information has surfaced regarding suspected high level corruption during the 2011 Diaspora Conference held in Washington DC last year. An event which required less than $ 5,000 to prepare, had thousands of dollars collected in its name.

The amount of money alleged to have been used for the conference, indicate that there may have been one other hidden agenda behind the whole idea of a Diaspora conference, “looting of Public Funds” . There was a total of 12 sponsors of the event, including the heavy funding of the same event by the Kenya Government. Five of the sponsors, namely, CIC insurance group ltd., Kenya Post Office Savings Bank, Equity Bank and General Electric Africa, were categorized as “PLATINUM” sponsors. BAE Systems inc., and Kenya ICT Board were categorized as “GOLD” sponsors. EBIX inc., was categorized as a Silver sponsor, while the Kenya Airways, University of West Virginia, Ivory Chevrolet and Eberly College of Arts and Science were categorized as Bronze sponsors. http://kenyaembassy.com/pdfs/conferencepacket.pdf. Although the correct figures of the total amount of money sponsored to the event is not clearly known, it is estimated that each of the platinum sponsors contributed about $5,000 each, the Gold sponsors about $4,000 each, the silver sponsors about $3,000 each and the Bronze sponsors about $2,000 each. Going by this estimate alone, the total amount of money that was received by the Embassy from the private sponsors was about $46,000.

The Kenya Government alone, is alleged to have given the Kenya Embassy in Washington DC, a total of $40,000 for the preparation of the conference. The embassy charged $60 from every Kenyan who attended the conference. About 250 Kenyans attended the conference, raising a total of $15,000 from the registration alone. Therefore, the total amount of money received by the Kenyan Embassy in Washington DC in the name of the 2011 Diaspora Conference, was $101,000 for only two days.

According to Ms Regina Njogu, all those who assisted in the preparations for the conference, were all volunteers, and I quote, “By the way, no one was paid to organize the October 2011 Conference. We were all volunteers”. The expenses the Embassy may have incurred in the preparation and in the running of the Conference, would not exceeded $5,000. Then where did all the rest of the money go? In view of the above figures, the Embassy should not have charged Kenyans any fee for the registration for the conference because there was more than enough money from the Kenya Government and from the private sponsors. The attendance by all Kenyans to the conference should have been free, and I believe that was the reason why the Kenya Government chose to fund the conference, whose agenda was very clear and very important for our Nation and for our sisters and brothers back home in Kenya.

Because of the suspicion of what may have happened in the 2011 Diaspora Conference, some Kenyans in the Diaspora have increasingly become very scared that both the next Diaspora Conference scheduled to take place latter this year, and the scheduled Bus – Signature collection project in USA and in Canada, http://www.standardmedia.co.ke/InsidePage.php?id=2000055751&cid=4, may be corruption schemes aimed at looting money from Kenyans and from the private sponsors. At this critical moment of transformation in Kenya, when every Kenyan has to abandon the culture of impunity and corruption, the office of the Kenyan Embassy in USA, should not be left behind.

The Kenyan Ambassador to the US may have committed very serious offences as outlined in the previous articles, namely, his failure to receive the two important senior Government representatives at the Diaspora Summit held in Marlboro, Massachusetts recently, and also his failure to attend to the concerns of 45 Kenyan clergy women and men from six states in the USA, who sought an audience with him. But what is most disturbing and disappointing is the new revelation of the lack of transparency and accountability regarding the 2011 Diaspora Conference, which may affect all Ambassador Odembos’ future projects as a public servant abroad. I just hope and pray that the allegations, if true, are not an extension of the notorious corruption scandals commonly witnessed in some Kenya missions abroad.

In order for the Kenyan Ambassador, His Excellency ElKanah Odembo to build some confidence in Kenyans in the Diaspora, he has to release the accounts of income and expenditure for the October 2011 Diaspora Conference for Kenyans to see. If he fails to provide this report, Kenyans may recommend for the services of the Anti- Corruption Commission at the Kenyan Embassy in Washington DC.

For the sake of transparency and accountability, His Excellency Ambassador Elkanah Odembo should clarify the following:

1] The fact that the 45 Kenya clergy men and women, from the six states in USA, who contacted his office in September 2010 with a view to meet him, had not registered their respective Churches with the “Ambassador Diaspora Council”, may not have been a good reason for his Excellency to ignore them. Would his Excellency the Ambassador mind to apologize to them?

2] Very many projects have in the past 3 decades been faked in Kenya for the purposes of looting public funds. Can his Excellency the Kenyan Ambassador to USA, prove to Kenyans in Diaspora, that the purchase of the buses and hence collection of the signatures from the Kenyans in the Diaspora living in USA and in Canada, in the name of stopping war in the Diaspora, is neither a scheme to loot public funds nor an ODM campaign as we get closer to the elections?. Read Mr. John Maina’s article on Partisanship of Kenyan Ambassadors and High commissioners http://www.ajabuafrica.com/ajabublog/?p=811&cpage=1#comment-15914

3] Since it can now be assumed that the Kenyan Embassy in Washington DC collected more than $ 100,000 in the name of the 2011 Diaspora Conference, can his Excellency the Ambassador provide an account of income and expenditure for the conference in order to clear any doubts of embezzlement of funds in this regard?

4] It is an open fact that the office of the Kenyan Ambassador is really a very busy office. Nevertheless, can the Ambassador, His Excellency Elkanah Odembo explain to Kenyans in Diaspora, especially those who attended the Diaspora Summit in Massachusetts, why he did not send any embassy official to meet Hon. Richard Onyonka, the Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs and Ms Lillian Mahiri Zaja, the Vice Chair person of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, who had come all the way from Kenya on an official mission to attend and to address the Summit in their capacities as Kenya Government representatives?

A KENYAN FUGITIVE EVADES THE US LAW AND HIDES FROM PROSECUTION:

A Kenyan fugitive has evaded the US law and has been hiding from prosecution. The Kenyan who escaped from custody in Kenya after stealing millions of Kenya shillings from Kenyans, has escaped prosecution in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA., where he was accused of theft and intimidation. Mr. John Mbugua Mwangi was to appear for sentencing at an Indianapolis court on 3rd. Of April 2012 but he did not show up. Soon the court issued a warrant of arrest and he is being sought up to this day.

A few months before this incident he was masquerading a business consultant in Massachusetts. While there, he received large sums of money from many Kenyans who hoped to gain from his perceived knowledge in business consultancy.

In Kenya where his real name was John Maina Mwangi, he left many Kenyans crying, as they wondered how he was able to escape from custody, after he was accused of robbing them money in the guise of buying then vehicles. http://politics.eafricainfocus.com/2010/08/act-on-the-fugitive/ .It was after his escape from custody in Kenya, he changed his name to John Mbugua Mwangi, to enable him to fly out to the United States of America undetected.

In USA he has subjected many women into agony and frustration after defrauding them money pretending he would sell them shares in his home care company. He has been targeting women who did not have proper documents to live in USA to avoid prosecution. John Maina Mwangi Aka John Mbugua Mwangi is trying to evade justice and is believed to be hiding in Massachusetts. The Kenya Government should cooperate with the US government so that he would answer for all the crimes he has committed. At the same time Kenyans living in Massachusetts and elsewhere in USA, should be on the look out for this man who has destroyed the lives of many Kenyans both in Kenya and in USA. They should report him to the US authorities on sight.

KENYA AMBASSADORS AND HIGH COMMISSIONERS ARE ALSO REPRESENTATIVES AND GUARDIANS OF THE KENYAN PEOPLE ABROAD:
When an Ambassador confronts people from his home country with the statement, “I DO NOT ENTERTAIN TRIBAL GROUPINGS” after they pay him a visit, Just because they talk one common language, when an ambassador refuses to reply to an invitation letter by people from his home country, just because the invitation letter does not have multiple signatures of people from different tribes, who is tribal, that Ambassador or the individual people from his home country who live together in one area?

This was exactly what happened when his Excellency Ambassador Elkanah Odembo arrived in USA as the new Kenya Ambassador to USA to replace the former Kenya Ambassador to USA, His Excellency Peter Ogego . The first group to go to the Kenyan Embassy in Washington DC to welcome the new Ambassador, was a group of Kenyans from Baltimore, Maryland. It was the first group to be greeted with the harsh words “I do not entertain tribal groupings”. The second group of Kenyans to taste the wrath of Ambassador Odembos’ motto of “I do not entertain tribal groupings” was one from Massachusetts. In September 2010, the Kenyan Ambassador to the USA, was sent an invitation letter by the New England Pastors Fellowship Association, a group of 45 Reverends, Pastors and Bishops representing Kenya congregations from 4 States in USA, namely Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine and Rode Island. As representatives of thousands of Kenyans living in the United States of America, they wanted to meet their new Ambassador. Most people in Massachusetts come from the Kikuyu community in Kenya, and therefore, the Ambassador considered it a tribal group, prompting his refusal to reply to the invitation letter from the New England Pastors Fellowship Association. Although the Ambassador has been advocating Anti-Tribal groupings, he has been a frequent visitor of Telahasi in Florida. Who he has been visiting and why he has always chosen Telahasi as his favourite city of visit, is every Kenyans guess.

Despite the efforts of the Association to prepare for the arrival of the Ambassador, he never replied nor did he ever call the Association to officially acknowledge receipt of the invitation letter, although it was confirmed that the letter reached the office of the Ambassador. More efforts to consult with the Ambassador over the invitation were unsuccessful. Similarly, the Kenyan people in New Jersey, who live very close to Washington DC. have tried to invite the Ambassador in vain. They are considered to be a tribal group because most of them come from the Kisii community in Kenya. Living together as a community in one state in America while the other Kenyan community lives together in another state should never be considered to be tribal. Recently the Ambassador failed to receive the Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs Hon. Richard Onyonka or send a representative. Whether Dr. Onyonka and his team were considered a tribal group by the Ambassador, it remains a puzzle.

What exactly would happen if His Excellency Ambassador became the President of Kenya, where different groups of people live in different locations, talk one language and a culture of their own?. Would he ever visit any such a community or be visited by one such a community at State House?. May the Ambassador be advised that there are three categories of Kenyans arriving abroad. There are those who win Green Card, those who arrive as visitors and those who are prospective students. In either case there is always a host in place to receive the new comer. Everyone who travels abroad under the categories above, is either received by a friend or a relative, and often settles in that same area he is received. That is the reason why different communities are found living together in different locations in USA and elsewhere in the World. Kenya Ambassadors and High Commissioners all over the World should learn to listen to every Kenyan in need and to accept to meet any group of Kenyans. They are representatives and guardians of Kenyans living with them abroad. They should always strive to unite them instead of dividing them, as is happening in the USA. There is a culture in Kenyas leadership circles where no one accepts a mistake even when a mistake is obvious. Failure to accept mistakes blocks all avenues for corrections and creates room for repetitions of same mistakes. And unless the Ambassadeor explains why he failed to receieve the Assistant Minister and the Vice Chairperson of the IEBC or send his representative, the Kenya Government should prove that change is already in process by taking a disciplinary action against the Ambassador. Otherwise Kenyans will remain convinced that the current Government may never succeed in eradicating impunity. The fear created by the impunity in Kenya is far more threatening than the fear expressed by the Kenyan Ambassador to the USA in Boston resently.

Acording to the Standard Newspaper, Kenyans in the Diaspora are so tribal to an extent of brewing trouble in Kenya, a statement which is misguiding and false. Kenyans in the Diaspora, especially in the US, have not been tribally divided as depicted in the Standard newspaper. What featured recently in the Standard Newspaper was an exaggeration of tribalism in the Diaspora which does not warrant any alarm. Kenyans in Diaspora have not been killing one another as portrayed in the newspaper and neither have they been the cause of the common attacks and killings witnessed in Kenya from time to time since 1992. Unless a new project to loot public funds in the name of collecting signatures to keep peace in America is in the offing, it would be unimaginable to buy buses in order to go round in USA to collect signatures from Kenyans in the Diaspora for the Purposes of keeping peace. One thing, this is an insult to the competent security system in the USA and an abuse to all the Kenyans living in USA. All the Ambassador is required to do, if he is really convinced that Kenyans in USA are about to start killing one another, is to report what he knows about the insecurity among the Kenya communities living in USA, to the US authorities, and I can assure him that everything will be taken care of, and all his worries will be gone. Instead of wasting money to buy buses, buy gas to run the buses, hire drivers and personnel to run such an unnecessary expensive exercise, all that money should be channeled to other important projects in Kenya, such as helping the Internally Displaced people or transfer the same exercise to Kenya, where attacks and killings have been common during elections. Kenyans in the USA have never attacked and/or killed one another as a group, and when that time comes, the US security system will be in charge and will take care of it, and not the Kenyan Ambassador or the Kenya Government.
THE KENYA DIASPORA SUMMIT IN MASSACHUASETTS AND ITS ACHIEVEMENTS – A COLOURFUL EVENT:

The Kenya Diaspora Summit held over the weekend, organized and managed by Mrs. Comfort Munoru Mwangi of Florida, USA and Mr. Tegi Obanda of Ontario Canada, was a total success for all Kenyans in the Diaspora, it is a pride and an achievement for all Kenyans living abroad. The wonderful and colorful meeting was attended by among others, Hon. Dr. Richard Onyonka the assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Deputy Chairlady IEBC Ms. Lillian Mahiri Zaja, Constitutional Lawyer Njonjo Mue and Dr. Richard Leakey. For the first time since the adoption of the new constitution, the Deputy Chairlady of the IEBC Ms. Lillian Mahiri Zaja, confirmed to the audience who came from all the corners of the USA, that there were no more doubts that Kenyans in the Diaspora will vote during the next elections. She said that the Kenya Government was now working on the modalities to ensure that those goals were achieved. It was a relief to many Kenyans living abroad who were worried they would not participate in the next elections. When she was asked which candidates Kenyans in the Diaspora will be legible to vote for, she said that only the Presidential position will be available for vote in the Diaspora.
In answer to where the voting will take place and who will be involved with the tallying and counting of the votes, she amused the audience when she said that the Kenya Government will make sure that there will be enough polling stations in the Diaspora for all the Kenyans willing to vote and at the same time the Kenya Government will request all the registered political parties willing to participate in the Diaspora Voting, to send their agents on time to different polling stations in the Diaspora to make sure they witness the voting and the counting of votes during the voting process.
Dr. Richard Onyonka surprised the audience with information that the Kenya Government was contemplating to introduce a new Ministry for Kenyans living abroad. He said that the current remittances of Kenyans in the Diaspora to Kenya, superseded that of three or more ministries combined, and therefore necessitating the formation of the new Ministry. All Kenyans in attended were in agreement and in total support of the new idea.
Dr. Leakey emphasized on the urgent need for the Kenyans in the Diaspora, to shun tribalism so that the Nation of Kenya can benefit politically and economically from the intellect and skills they have already acquired abroad.
What made the meeting even more lively, was the transparency depicted by the team from Kenya. Everyone in the meeting looked jovial and confident. Kenyans had come from as far as Florida, Canada, New Jersey, Maryland, Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Europe and many other areas.
But what disappointed everyone who attended the meeting was the absence of the Kenya Ambassador to the USA or a representative from the Embassy at the summit. Those in attendance challenged the organizers of the Summit to provide an explanation to the audience why the Ambassador was not in the meeting or why there was no representative from the Kenyan Embassy present at the meeting. The organizers explained to the audience that they had written a letter to the Ambassador two months earlier and had also called the office of the Ambassador to inform the office that important Kenyans who included the Assistant Minister and the deputy Chairlady of the IEBC had confirmed their attendance. Unless the Ambassador provides to Kenyans in the Diaspora a convincing reason, why he would not attend the Summit and why he would not send a representative from the Embassy to such an important Summit intended to discuss important issues concerning our Nation, those who attended the Summit will seek for an explanation from the Kenya Government back home why we warrant such a behavior from the Kenya Ambassador. Such behavior may be construed to mean an insult to both the offices of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the IEBC and lack of concern of what affects Kenyans in the Diaspora.
STOP ENCOURAGING CORRUPTION IN THE POOR DEVELOPING NATIONS:
The West and many other donor Nations should stop encouraging corruption in the poor developing Nations, especially those in Africa which are already suffering from poor Governance.
The West and other Nations which have been sending a lot of assistances in form of grants and loans to Africa, have all along known that most of the assistances have not been making any differences because it has not been reaching the ground. Most of the assistance given to Africa has always been stolen and returned back to the same donor Nations from where it came.

The Western Nations and other donor Nations should no longer pretend that they are unaware of the trillions of dollars already looted from the poor Nations in Africa, now lying idle in personal bank accounts abroad, owned by the corrupt African leaders. It hurts the poor further, when they are overburdened with the repayment of loans now lying idle in personal foreign bank accounts after being stolen from public coffers, yet more and more loans continued to be given to those same corrupt leaders.

After the late Muammar Ghadaffi was removed from power, The US announced that he had 30 billion dollars in the USA. The US stated very clearly that the money had been looted from the Libya public coffers by the late President. The US had all along been silent over the Ghadaffi loot until he was out of power. The Western Nations and many other donor Nations in the World are silent over the trillions of dollars stolen from poor Nations by the corrupt African leaders, already banked in foreign personal bank accounts, as poor human beings continue to languish in abject poverty and unwarranted suffering.

Before more grants and loans are released to the poor Nations where corruption is rampant, a stern action should be taken on the already looted money banked abroad. The already looted money should be frozen, recovered and returned to the respective poor Nations, after which more grants and loans may be given to those needy Nations. It is an encouragement of corruption to both current and future leaders in Africa, if the West and other donor Nations continue to give grants and loans to poor Nations, knowing so well that the money will be looted and returned there. The West and other donor Nations should freeze, recover and return all the looted public funds banked abroad back to the poor Nations, as a sign of transparency and honesty. If the Western Nations and other donor Countries cannot do so, they should stop giving any more money to the poor African Nations in the name of helping the poor, but instead, release such money in the name of enriching the corrupt African leaders.

THE HUNGER REVOLUTION IN KENYA, WHO WILL STOP IT?:
Who will stop the hunger driven revolution which is slowly crimping into Kenya? Today, the prize of one kilogram of sugar in Kenya costs Sh. 41.80 more than one kilogram of sugar in the USA. One kilogram of sugar in USA costs $1.10, an equivalent of Ksh. 88.20, while one kilogram of sugar in Kenya costs Ksh. 130. In USA, one loaf of bread costs 99c. an equivalent of Ksh. 79.35, while a loaf of bread in Kenya costs Ksh. 50. In USA, one kilogram of baking flour costs $1.10, an equivalent of Ksh. 88.20 and one kilogram of baking four in Kenya costs Ksh 59. The prizes of most of the essential commodities in Kenya are almost the same prize as those similar items in USA. The salaries of the legislatures in both countries are almost the same.

The minimum wage in USA is $7/hour, an equivalent of Ksh. 560/hour, while the minimum wage in Kenya is about Ksh. 50/hour an equivalent of $0.625/hour. The economic situation in Kenya is not comparable to that of USA. or to any other nation in the western world. Really Do Kenyans deserve this suffering? What have Kenyans done to warrant this kind of agony? Who will help Kenyans? Who will help the situation and who will stop the hunger revolution? The prizes of the essential commodities in Kenya, continue to climb up despite the unbearable situation on the ground. The common Kenyan has continued to suffer and die from poverty emanating from corruption perpetuated by their own leaders. Loans and grants have all ended in the pockets of a few Kenyans, hence overburdening the poor Kenyans with the repayment of those looted loans.

Presidential aspirants in Kenya, have set aside billions of Kshs. for campaign while the Kenyans in the IDP camps continue to die day by day and the unemployment continue to rise. An end to the suffering and agony of Kenyans is around the corner and about to end. No one will stop this end, not even the wealthy or the politically experienced. The HUNGER DRIVEN REVOLUTION will be unstoppable, when the poor hungry Kenyan say, “enough is enough to man made suffering in Kenya“.

Open Letter to
-The President
World Bank.
-The Managing Director
International Monetary Fund.
THE LOOTED KENYA PUBLIC FUNDS MUST BE RECOVERED:
No compromise and no negotiations about the recovery of the looted public funds stolen from the Kenya public coffers. All the looted public funds must be recovered immediately. It will be recalled that very many Kenyans have been killed because of challenging corruption in Kenya. Many others have been left disabled, while millions of innocent Kenyans have been left in abject poverty, emanating from the rampant corruption perpetuated by the corrupt leaders in Kenya.

The hope that the introduction of the multiparty politics and the new constitution would transform the behavior of the corrupt leaders, has dwindled especially after the revelation by the World Bank, that millions of Kenya shillings that was intended to assist the millions of the suffering jobless youth, disappeared from the office of the Prime Minister recently.
In 2009, the Kenya members of Parliament, most of whom, are suspects in many corruption scandals, passed a bill which intended to pardon themselves and all other former leaders who looted the public funds from the Kenya public coffers before the year 2003. That bill was passed before consultation was made with the Kenyan people. It is unacceptable to Kenyans that the members of the Kenya Parliament can pardon themselves and all the other former corrupt leaders, without the knowledge, consent and authority from Kenyan People.

Most of the looted money was from the loans which were given to Kenya by the World Bank, IMF and the Donor Nations. Over a long period, the loans and the grants given to Kenya have been looted and are stil being stolen. Some of the money looted was used to buy properties in foreign nations, while the rest was banked in foreign personal Bank accounts abroad. The looted public funds have placed the Kenya corrupt leaders among the richest individuals in the world today. The World Bank, the IMF and the donor community have to consider the facts that the origin of the loans, the grants and the donations given to Kenya, are from the taxes collected from the citizens of different Nations. Some of the citizens from whom taxes are collected and converted to loans, grants and donations, are relatively very poor people who are trying to make ends meet in vain. It is therefore absolutely sad to see those loans, grants and donations, end up into the pockets of a few corrupt individual leaders in Kenya.

All the billions of Kenya shillings that have been looted and stashed in private personal bank accounts abroad, should be frozen, recovered and returned to Kenya immediately.

No peace for the common Kenyan, no freedom for the common Kenyan and no democracy for the common Kenyan, until all the looted Kenya public funds are recovered and returned to Kenya. No more loans should be given to Kenya, no more grants should be given to Kenya and no more donations should be given to Kenya until all the already looted public funds are recovered and returned to Kenya. No compromise over the looted public funds in Kenya. All the looted public funds belong to the Kenyan people and should be returned to Kenyans.

It hurts, It annoys and it disappoints to understand that the burden of paying back all those looted loans has been left to the poor suffering Kenyans, who cannot afford two meals a day, leave alone having a balanced diet. Where is freedom, where is democracy and where is peace for the common Kenyans, when they are forced to pay for the looted loans? The high taxes imposed on essential commodities, over the heavily taxed pay, earned by the Kenyan workers, provide enough reasons for quick recovery of all the stolen money. There has to be a national debate for collective bargaining to stop the heavy taxation on the pay given to the Kenyan workers, and the heavy taxes imposed on essential commodities, for the purposes of raising enough money to pay for the already looted public funds. What is the difference in the magnitude of the crime committed by a robber who shoots and kills innocent human beings in order to get money, and the corrupt Kenyan leaders who loot public funds leaving innocent human beings dying from poverty and hunger?.

Already some Nations have indicated their willingness to freeze looted public funds banked in their respective nations. We will not rest until all the looted Kenya public funds are recovered and returned to Kenya. On behalf of all those Kenyans suffering and in abject poverty, the Kenyan women and children with endless tears of agony and pain, I wish to plead with the donor community to assist us in the recovery of the looted public funds. The World Bank, the IMF and the donor community should not continue to give money to Kenya, knowing so well that the money will be looted and banked abroad in foreign personal bank accounts. The poor Kenyans have suffered a lot in the hands of their leaders for too long in paying back for the loans that never benefited them, and which money, is today lying idle in foreign personal Bank accounts owned by the Kenya looters of the Public funds.

The failure to recover the already looted public funds, will be an automatic approval of the current and future leaders in Kenya, to continue looting public funds with impunity, and it is tantamount to an indirect support of the looters of the public funds. Freezing, recovering and hence returning the looted public funds will be an example of the consequences of looting public funds in Kenya, now and in future. It is the only way to stop the endless and uncontrollable corruption in Kenya. This is also one way of building and restoring confidence in the leadership of Kenya, and the only means of improving the living conditions of the suffering Kenyan people.

Everything should be done to recover all the looted public funds in Kenya and we will do all we can and use all possible means to recover and have all the looted public funds returned to Kenya. Nevertheless, a lot of help is necessary from friends of Kenya, in whose nations, the looted funds are hidden and where there are assets and properties worth millions of dollars, which were bought with the looted public funds.
Sincerely

THE GRABBING OF THE UFUNDI SACCO HOUSE – Going THE NATURE HOUSE STYLE:
The Ufundi Sacco House in Nairobi, Kenya, may likely go the Nature House style if nothing is done to save it. Recent developments indicate that, the Ministry of works employees who bought the Ufundi House through their Cooperative Society, may loose their house to six individual Kenyans, who are in the process of selling the house without the consent and/or authority of the owners.

In 1998, the then Ufundi house owned by the employees of the Ministry of Works was destroyed by a Bomb. The American Government replaced it with the new house called the Ufundi Sacco in Nairobi. According to Mr. Nelson Ngoo, a member of the Cooperative Society which bought that house on their behalf, six officials of the Cooperative Society, are in the process of selling the house. Efforts by a few members of the society to plead with the Government to intervene and stop the sale of the house, has been unsuccessful.

Without any immediate help, it is very likely that the owners of the Ufundi Sacco house will loose that house to those officials, the same way the Kenya Civil Servants lost Khs. 60 billion worth of Assets, properties and money that was in various Banks in 1980, to a few Kenya politicians. In 1980, soon after the invalidation of the then Union for the Kenya Civil Servants, through a dictatorial decree by President Moi, assets, properties and the money owned by the Kenya Civil Servants which was in various Banks, was grabbed by the Kenya politicians. Those properties included the Nature House situated at the center of the capital City, Nairobi. Today, 31 years latter, history is repeating itself. A few individuals are corruptly grabbing the property of innocent defenseless Kenya Civil Servants. The Kenya Government has adopted the similar silence it adopted 31 years ago, when it let go the properties of its workers [the Civil Servants], to a few disgruntled corrupt Kenya politicians. Every Kenyan is wondering who will stop this kind of corruption.
